Google UX Research Program Manager, YouTube in Zürich, Switzerland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 5 years of experience managing and scaling UX related programs, and 5 years of experience driving operational efforts across organizations.

  • Experience with UX disciplines and user-centered development tools and methodologies.

  • Experience analyzing data and leveraging insights to develop solutions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Candidates will typically have 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects within a design or UX organization.

  • Experience leading across geographically distributed teams.

  • Experience with product development lifecycle.

  • Experience improving the velocity/productivity of teams, products, and systems.

  • Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and issues.

  • Ability to identify problems across organizations and create programs and processes to solve them.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a part of the UX Research Program Management team, you will help scale YouTube's UX Research practice. This role is part of our research recruitment operations and will focus on making sure that our researchers are able to conduct research with sensitive populations, especially minors, in a safe, compliant, and efficient way.At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories.   • Oversee recruiting operations for research participants from sensitive populations, focusing on minors.

  • Forecast participant profile requirements via YouTube’s research roadmap analysis and UXR organization needs assessment.

  • Be owner of sourcing strategy for minors (both creator and viewer segments).

  • Ensure that when it comes to minors, the recruiting processes is compliant with Google’s legal and privacy requirements.

  • Create participant panels to ensure quick study fulfillment, high participant engagement, quality of output, and high stakeholder satisfaction.
