*This position will reside in either the Milwaukee WI or Nashville TN area. Candidates should be open to relocating and have the ability to travel as necessary. (About 10% of time)
Primary Function
The HR Generalist-Early Career Role assists the HR department by performing various tasks, either as a generalist or area specific. The incumbent will be responsible for communicating, administering, and enforcing policies, procedures, and documentation related to HR.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain individual employee files.
Work with team members to resolve requests and concerns.
Manage employee paperwork to verify that all documents are complete and accurately processed.
Work with other departments to ensure proper staffing levels are met.
Assist in the hiring process by pre-screening applications, setting up interviews, and preparing and conducting orientations.
Administer job biddings and postings to fit with contractual guidelines.
Prepare exit interview packets and perform exit interviews.
Prepare reports as needed using Excel and HRIS software.
Monitor and maintain the training system, including scheduling, reporting results, and proctoring courses.
Facilitate and coordinate special HR projects, including events, studies, and newsletters.
Perform other activities as needed or as directed.
Qualifications
Related HR or administrative experience
PHR or SPHR certification is preferred
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
Excellent Communication Skills via written and oral
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to deal comfortably with all levels of management
SAP and/or Kronos Experience preferred
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Related Field
