A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR AT DWT

The Production Supervisor will oversee and delegate daily tasks to assigned production employees to meet customer and DWT schedules with attention to safety, quality and meeting productivity goals. This position is responsible for managing the daily production schedules, provide training, promote a team mentality, and ensuring assembly aids or proper tooling are available to assigned team. This position should proactively work with team leads and other departments to ensure materials are available in time to support the schedule, and monitor manufacturing processes to proactively drive cost cutting measures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace/defense industry
  • Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade
  • Experience working with suppliers
  • Experience in Lean or Six-Sigma methodologies a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Possess time management skills to be able to adapt to a changing work environment and competing demands
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal
