Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Buyer in Trenton, Michigan. This role is in the telecom industry and will involve sourcing, purchasing, and managing a variety of products within a workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze market trends to inform purchasing decisions

• Identify and research potential vendors for product acquisition

• Negotiate contracts and prices with vendors for optimal business results

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure continuous operations

• Assess product quality and manage vendor relationships to ensure high standards

• Collaborate with sales and marketing departments to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals

• Oversee the delivery of purchased products and handle any issues with suppliers

• Utilize ERP solutions and Microsoft Office Suites to manage and track purchasing processes

• Leverage knowledge of the market, strong negotiating skills, and decision-making abilities to succeed in the role

• Support customer service initiatives within the manufacturing environment. Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Experience with IBM AS/400

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Familiarity with About Time software

• Understanding of Buying Processes

• Knowledge in Component Selection

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Experience in a Manufacturing environment
