SALT LAKE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Corporate Trainer, Autodesk-AutoCAD Civil 3D (PT) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Instructor will be responsible for all aspects of course instruction, including: developing and implementing lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and projects; tracking and recording grades; updating coursework in Canvas; clearly communicating expectations and providing feedback to students on their progress; and conducting course evaluations as designed and requested by the Division. This position will primarily be based at the Miller Campus but may be required to work at other locations as needed.

  1. Responsible for all tasks and activities related to the delivery of the course or workshop content.
  2. Maintain records of student performance, including test administration and posting of all grades into Canvas.
  3. Responsible for the management of an effective learning environment, including communication with students through electronic methods as well as in-person classes.
  4. Follow course curriculum, per college policy, assuring successful completion of identified student learning outcomes.
  5. Keep up-to-date with current industry standards and best practices.
  6. Demonstrate and support professional commitment to program goals, as well as to the policies, mission, and values of the Division, School and College.
  7. Attend required training and departmental meetings.
  8. Provide timely feedback to students on assignments, quizzes, exams, projects; clearly communicate expectation related to coursework.
  9. Maintain open line of communication with program manager and coordinator.
  10. Adapt curriculum to meet changing industry trends and/or standards, including updating course content in Canvas.
  11. Engage students through classroom discussions and activities.
  12. Ensure students are given multiple opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills they will need to successfully complete the course, apply what they have learned and demonstrate they are developing the skills necessary to be successful.
  13. When appropriate, assist in identifying student placement or career advancement opportunities.
  14. Conduct course or workshop evaluations as designed and requested by Division.
  15. Perform other duties as needed to support program success.
