FirstService Residential Recreation Associate in Sacramento, California

Job Overview:Â Â

The Recreation Associate provides quality customer service andbethe friendly, helpful, team member to our clients, vendors, and associates. This position will also have administration dutiesassistingdepartment managers as directed.Â

 Compensation:Â

 $16 - $17 an hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Â

FRONT DESK DUTIES:Â

  • Must be able to sit forlong periodsof time at the front desk with a pleasant disposition to greet clients and guests cordially.Â
  • Must be calm and able to handle many functions at one time.Â
  • Must be able to hear and speak to receive telephone calls and interact with clients.Â
  • Mustanswer incoming callsimmediatelyand take clear messages.Â
  • Must deliver messagestimely, either verbally or in written form.Â
  • Handle and distribute mail, packages, checks and other business documents.Â
  • Works with new and current residents to obtain access control badges.Â
  • Responsible formaintainingaccess control system and viewing cameras.Â
  • Complete data entry into various company systems in support of business needs.Â
  • Check in guests with missing access badges into the computer.Â
  • Preparation and set-up of in-house meeting rooms.ÂÂ
  • Ensures event documents are completed prior to event moving forward.Â
  • May occasionally berequiredto close and lock the clubhouse at shift end.Â
  • Mustmaintaina professional demeanor and not perpetuate rumors or innuendos that can affect the morale of the office or the client.ÂÂ
  • Must know the difference between information that can be shared with co-workers, vendors and clients, and confidential information that should only be addressed with General Manager.Â

  • Work effectively with co-workers, clients, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; being willing to accept other tasks whenrequested, and respecting the diversity of our workforce in actions,wordsand deeds.Â

  • Attend all company mandatory functions.Â
  • Comply withcompany policies and procedures.Â
  • Other reception duties as assigned.Â

Â

SNACK BAR DUTIESÂ

  • Perform simple food preparation andservesfood and drinks at the Club’s Snack Bar. Facilitates a friendly, hospitable environment.ÂÂ
  • Ensures quality of product and service with intent to provide the highest level of member and guest satisfaction,anticipatingtheir wants and needs.Â
  • Stays familiar with, and accurately describes menu items and their preparation. Ensures accuracy of orders and presentation of food.ÂÂ
  • Learn and remember members’ names and preferences as needed.Â
  • Performs Snack Bar opening and closing procedures.ÂÂ
  • Processes sales through the Apple register system. Completes transactions and closing paperwork accurately andtimely. Ensure the charges areaccurateand settled to the correct account.Â
  • Addresses members’ concernsimmediatelyand to their satisfaction. Communicates any problems and potential issues to management.Â
  • Organizes snack bar inventory and helpsmaintainpar levels.ÂÂ
  • Ensures sanitation standards are met in the Snack Bar area. Observes food serve safe practices and all general Club safety protocols. Clean andsanitizesworkstation and equipment.Â
  • Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing. Rotating and checking temperature of products.Â
  • Assistswithspecial eventsasdesignatedby management.Â
  • Performs other duties asdesignatedby management.Â
  • Serve and store alcohol within the Club’s guidelines.Â
  • Receives inventory, moves, and lifts food and beverage products and supplies.Â

POOL MONITOR DUITES:Â

  • Greet and register all homeowners and guests.ÂÂ
  • Enforce poolrule, policies, and regulations.Â
  • Perform first aid and water rescue, when necessary and only if certifiedÂ
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons.Â
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures.Â
  • Test pool water chemistry andmaintainappropriate records, as applicable.ÂÂ
  • Clean and sanitize pool, pool area, restrooms, and shower areas after each homeowneruse.Â
  • Perform other duties and special projects asrequested.Â
  • Wiping down tables daily and ensuring the pool area and bathrooms are free of trash.Â
  • Set up and take down umbrellas daily.Â
  • Enforce rules.Â
  • Monitor water quality.ÂÂ

Education & Experience: Â

  • Must have a minimum of a GED or a High School Diploma.Â

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:Â Â

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.Â
  • Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard, distributing mail and packages.Â

  • Must have good verbal and written skills in order to converse in a clear manner when answering incoming phone calls and be able to capture a message in written form and deliver to the appropriate co-workers.Â

  • Must be mobile enough to move around the office to make copies, distribute mail, etc.Â
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.ÂÂ
  • Working hours may be altered to meet client demands so must be able to be flexible. Consistent and regular attendancerequired.Â
