We are looking for a new Senior Operational Readiness Manager for our Platform, Product and Operational Readiness department, which is part of Global Operations – Service Industrialization. The PPOR department is responsible to manage and drive the governance and support regards the Operational Readiness Phase in the Service Execution Standard. Furthermore, the team governs the Global Readiness Community across Service Regions and ensure application of best practices and fostering strong regional collaboration.

As an Operational Readiness Manager, it will be your responsibility to manage Service Operational Support for the Operational Readiness Phase on the Service Execution Process. The candidate shall manage specific support and improvements of the process including direct consultancy towards our regions. The candidate will be depending on establishing strong collaboration with stakeholders through positive attitude, cross-functional collaboration, and high level of communication. How to contribute to our vision

The interface and collaboration with global functions and regions within Siemens Gamesa and the Service business unit is key to the success of our PPOR team. Within this team it is expected to drive process excellence for our Service Execution framework and successfully manage allocated internal improvement activities to support the transition to the standard operating model. Our team consists of Platform-, Project- and Operational Readiness Managers with strong experience of driving improvement activities all based in different geographical locations within Service.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Identify, initiate and drive operational improvement activities within the Operational Readiness Phase of the Service Execution Standard.

  • Govern the Readiness Phase as an Operational Readiness Expert with strong interaction with the regions and ability to identify areas for support for the readiness projects in Service.

  • Support regional Sales Support efforts with specific operational support for new sales bids as required based on regional demand and alignment.

  • Engage in regional Operational Readiness activities as requested from the regions in order to foster close collaboration and drive unique value for the Service Portfolios .

  • Drive selected transformation efforts to support the transition of the Operating model and our organizational development in Service Operations .

  • Engage in process improvements including development of new templates, facilitation of workshops and guidance of Project Gate reviews.

  • Develop business case and prioritization for continuous improvement work in the areas of Operations process framework and calculate potential productivity impact .

  • Support the Service Industrialization management team with respect to concise summary of information and creation of management presentations, workshops and proposals.

  • Ensure strong focus on the continued implementation of the readiness application in strong partnership with the regions and to ensure value-add for our key operations in Service .

    What you need to make a difference

    Besides a passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change, we are also looking for:

  • University degree in management, business engineering, engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or natural science

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant Project Management and/or consulting experience, ideally from the wind or service industry. Experience of project management or operational transformation is an advantage

  • Ideally 2+ years in a management consultancy or strategy department of a large or mid-sized corporation with experience driving transformation projects.

  • You are able to manage multiple projects and tasks based on prioritization.

  • You gained insights in the area of project execution in construction projects business (wind service industry / large scale infrastructure project background is an advantage)

  • You are structured and demonstrated strong problem-solving skills (strategic, quantitative and organizational / process assignments) taking a holistic end-to-end perspective.

  • Proven track record / certification in project management, and the ability to communicate and interact with colleagues and collaborators at all levels in a large, complex and global organization.

  • Experience / certification in Lean / Six Sigma methodologies in order to drive continues improvement concepts and problem-solving processes.

  • You have shown ability to implement and bring concepts to live in a fast moving and changing environment. Passion for change management.

  • You are committed to deadlines and show ownership on your assignments.

  • Team player with a can-do attitude, open to feedback from peers and managers and willingness to learn and develop.

    It is a big advantage if you thrive in a multi-cultural environment and are familiar with working in large organizations. It is therefore important that you have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
