Principal Financial Group Associate Director, Institutional Client Service - Asset Management in New York, New York

What You'll Do

We’re looking for an Associate Director, Client Service to join our Client Relationship Team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in delivering unparalleled client experiences, fortifying relationships, delivering end-to-end client service to our Institutional Clients.

  • Lead and support end-to-end service delivery for our Institutional Clients, orchestrating seamless collaboration across internal teams to provide optimal levels of service excellence

  • Assist and lead complex onboarding and client life-cycle events

  • Cultivate an understanding of Principal Asset Management’s investment strategies and client solutions. Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers, Distribution, Consultant Relations and Investment teams, to develop enduring relationships and enhance client retention

  • Understand clients and their diverse needs across various asset classes, ensuring a strong understanding of Institutional Clients service needs, and bring a solutions and collaborative mindset to resolving client queries. Strong understanding of operational asset management and regulatory environment impacting Institutional Clients

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 7 years of experience in asset management and client services, with a minimum of 5 years managing institutional clients

  • Demonstrated success in client retention and delivering exceptional client experiences

  • Proven ability to work effectively with consultant and distribution teams

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

  • In-depth knowledge of operational aspects of asset management

  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment for Institutional Clients

Travel may be required based on location, business or client needs.

This position may be subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions.

May require fingerprinting with Principal Funds Distributor.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$106400 - $182400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
