Position Description

This is a position of the Convention Center Authority; not a Metropolitan Government position. Excellent benefits included. Flexible work schedules and will include weekend and night work.

This position will remain open until an adequate pool of applicants has applied.

Typical Duties

Responsibilities include:

• Event utility installations and dismantling.

• Daily building maintenance and repair including working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, Building Automation Systems, building systems to include lighting controls and operation, blueprint interpretation, and general facility maintenance.

• Ability to complete assignments that will include 3 phase applications up to 480 VAC.

Minimum Qualifications

Vocational or Technical School is required with three (3) to five (5) years of experience, five (5) years preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must have experience in general maintenance with specific knowledge of electrical and HVAC systems in an industrial/commercial environment.

This is a position of the Convention Center Authority; not a Metropolitan Government position. Excellent benefits included. Valid Tennessee Driver's License required. Schedules are rotating and will require weekend and night work.

Starting Rate: $22.00/hour with potential for annual bonus
