Qualifications

What you'll be doing:

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator serves as a resource to support in problem-solving and assist all levels of employees and management in identifying waste and improvement opportunities. They facilitate appropriate process improvement methods and support the effective implementation and use lean methodologies and tools to accomplish business objectives; eliminate waste and inefficiencies within the production. Additionally, they ensure the existence of standard operating procedures to meet short- and long-term business needs and share best practices with affected work groups.

  • Assist in advancing team capabilities in problem-solving, critical thinking, and issue analysis to root cause solutions by attending meetings and working with leaders.

  • Collaborate with departments to enhance the overall safety record of the plant and ensure the identification and progression of CI projects within projected timelines.

  • Maintain records of CI suggestions from employees and facilitate employee-involvement meetings to improve plant safety performance, eliminate workplace hazards, and reduce ergonomic concerns.

  • Work with plant and/or department management to simplify and combine processes, documenting current and ideal practices, and ensuring compliance of improvements through post-completion audits.

  • Support audit processes, address nonconformities, and utilize data to drive decisions for proactive process control and reaction, as well as identifying and communicating quality or process issues.

  • Assist the Operational Excellence Manager in optimizing manufacturing processes, employing lean methodologies, and evaluating continuous improvement activities.

  • Support the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to the development and implementation of optimization plans in collaboration with facility leadership.

  • Aid in the development of quality standards and procedures for production and logistics and assist in maintaining detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.

  • Support training sessions and educational workshops on continuous improvement tactics and problem-solving techniques.

  • Contribute to product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased efficiency.

  • Assist in devising strategies to optimize business procedures and ensure efficient workflow.

  • Support assurance of product and process quality, preparation of product and process reports, and compliance with government regulations.

  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

    What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.

  • Vocational Training in Advancement Manufacturing Engineering or related field a plus

  • Secondary Training in Mechanical, process engineering, Six Sigma a plus

  • Meets attendance standards.

  • Quality standards are met or exceeded.

  • Safety regulations are adhered to.

  • Effective communication and coordination exist with Company personnel and with management.

  • Assistance and support are provided as needed.
