Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Transformation & Hiring Strategy in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is excited to join us as we work to transform our hiring processes to deliver a bar raising candidate experience. In this role you will be responsible for partnering across functions and countries to evaluate the EU Ops hiring landscape, develop a portfolio of transformation initiatives and drive them to completion. This role requires financial analyses and data focus. It also has a high degree of stakeholder partnership and visibility, you could be comfortable with influencing to drive outcomes. You should be passionate about solving big and complex problems using data, even when the answer or the problem is ambiguous. You should be eager to continuously learn and improve your skills.

As part of Workforce Staffing, you will support and develop careers as you and your team influence the entire Amazon EU network. As trusted business advisors, we collaborate with our partners to ensure operational and strategic choices are being made with the most up to date and reliable information. We work across a broad and diverse scope of stakeholders to ensure we are making the best possible choices.

Key job responsibilities

-Developing business cases and financial models for EU hiring transformation projects, with a focus on continuous improvement and standardization of processes across countries and business lines.

-Researching into labor and contract requirements across specific country/region. Working with Operations/HR/S&OP/Production Planning/Legal/Finance departments to define project framework conditions.

-Preparing country/region specific proposal on solutions to optimize Amazon hiring approach in EU.

-Examining costs, benefits, and tradeoffs across multiple customer groups to assess impacts and benefits of proposed projects.

-Utilizing a wide-ranging toolbox of strategies and tactics to navigate complex situations, challenging interactions, and conflicting priorities to maintain alignment and progress.

-Building and owning relationships cross-functionally with different teams and departments in Amazon. Working effectively with EU and WW colleagues.

-Experience in acting as a finance business partner or data analyst to complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

-Experience in supporting implementation of dashboards, metrics or reporting mechanisms.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science) or equivalent

  • Advanced Excel Skills. Proficient with Power BI, Quicksight, SQL and Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

  • Experience with cube engine tools (e.g. TM1, Cognos or Essbase), SQL and Data warehouse
