Google Partner Marketing Manager, Google Cloud in Johannesburg, South Africa

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 5 years of experience in marketing.

  • Experience in the SSA region with enterprise software or technology brands.

  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience in Business-to-Business Partner/Channel or Field Marketing in an IT or Cloud-environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA.

  • Experience in multichannel marketing with enterprise software, developer, infrastructure or platform-as-a-service technologies.

  • Experience with content development (web content, sales enablement, presentations, whitepapers, etc.).

  • Independent, can set plans, and complete projects with limited supervision and capacity to show initiative.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the representation of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

The Google Cloud Marketing team is responsible for raising awareness and interest about Google Cloud among developers, start-ups, and enterprises, while assisting our audience through a seamless customer journey from interest to discovery, trial, commitment and advocacy, fueling market share growth.

As a Partner Marketing Manager, you will be a fully dedicated marketing leader, shaping the future of Google Cloud and part of an entrepreneurial team in a rapidly growing business. You will work with the channel sales team to help drive performance of existing partners in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) and will be responsible for co-marketing relationships.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating sales pipeline and boosting awareness and consideration of Google Cloud in SSA. You will deploy integrated marketing campaigns to partners and will generate high-impact ideas, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive them to completion.

  • Craft and execute the SSA partner marketing strategy. Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to drive alignment and achieve regional goals.

  • Enable and empower partners to m aximize their participation in Google Cloud programs, tools, and resources, optimizing co-marketing fund utilization for maximum impact.

  • Lead cross-functional campaigns. Design and deliver impactful campaigns, assets, and communications, tailoring global initiatives for the local market.

  • Demonstrate partner marketing expertise and share your knowledge to support partners and internal teams, driving market insights and analysis.

  • Collaborate for growth and partner with internal marketing teams to develop high-impact campaigns, assets, and case studies that accelerate awareness and pipeline.
