Machine Operator- Packaging Weekend Day Shift
6:30am-6:30pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday OR Saturday/Sunday/Monday
AND an 8-hour shift on 1st or 2nd shift every other week
Position summary:
Operate packaging equipment to produce quality products in a safe and efficient manner.
Essential Functions:
Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.
Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant
Respectfully, through words and actions, work cooperatively with team members.
Operate packaging lines per prescribed methods, maintaining production flow and efficient operation. Operator must be able to manage multiple equipment modules simultaneously (i.e. fillers, cappers, cartoners, case packer).
Follow all safety rules and regulations. ( RIS, RIO, OSHA and departmental)
Maintain high housekeeping standards.
Train new operators in the areas of Machine operation, Safety, Productivity, Quality, ISO procedures.
Follow all quality policies and Procedures.
Handle minor troubleshooting of equipment (i.e. clearing jams, weight adjustments, capper adjustments )
Handle line washout, sanitization, and associated paperwork to include disassembly and assembly of fillers and setting weights.
Stock lines as necessary
Assign staff to position on line, explain responsibility associated with each position. Monitor to ensure that all employees assigned to the line are operating safely.
Document Work Order information (batch numbers, etc.) requiring direct contact with processors.
Document and track direct labor hours, production reporting, and efficiency.
Perform quality checks and associated paperwork with limited support from the QA, warehouse and processing departments
Administer the pocket defect program
Practice GMP ( Good Manufacturing Practices)
Handle assembly work when required (example: pack bottles into shippers, palletize, place pumps, etc.)
Train temporary staff in the areas of Safety and Quality. Provide work instruction for temporaries.
Requirements:
Ability to work overtime as needed (voluntary/occasionally mandated)
Prolonged Standing (continual movement to all positions within Packaging line)
Occasional Lifting- less than or equal to 25lbs
Frequent bending and stooping
Speak and understand English language.
Preferred skills:
Previous and/or current line operations experience
Experience trouble shooting
Inspections experience
Experience in a role responsible for meeting standard production goals/KPIs
Manufacturing line experience- large equipment
Job Title: Processor Weekend Day Shift
6am-6pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday OR Saturday/Sunday/Monday
AND an 8-hour shift 6am-2pm on 1st or 2nd shift every other week
Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Processing Supervisor, general responsibilities of this position include the operation of scales, pumps, mixing, and material handling equipment for the pre-weigh of chemicals; preparation of requests for chemicals from Pre-weigh listing to the warehouse; and the compounding of batches to supply filling lines.

Preferred Skills/Training/Certifications:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurately weighing materials, utilizing appropriate tools, containers and pallet patterns to supply kits to processing.
Responsible for using computerized recipe management system to manufacture bulk product. (MODOP/IS2/FlexNet).
Follow G.M.P’s to ensure that compounds are of high quality and free of contaminants. G.M.P’s include cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, proper sampling and handling of materials, and appropriate documentation.
Responsible for housekeeping in work location, including washing of pumps, drums, utensils, wiping down of equipment and using floor scrubbing equipment.
Request chemicals from the warehouse.
Hooks up piping and pumps and auxiliary equipment necessary to transfer compounds and solution to supply filling lines.
Responsible for accurately completing quality assessment of bulk including viscosity, PH, color, odor and appearance.
Notifies the supervisor of existing or potential problems with equipment or materials which may jeopardize employee safety and/or product quality.
