The ideal candidate will be located in the greater Charlotte area.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
Effectively manage sales and opportunity development activities for Accounts to optimize variable contribution margin percentage (VCM%), Revenue, and customer satisfaction. Major activities include identifying target companies and/or market opportunities, identifying customer and/or market expectations and providing data to support account or market segment sales strategies.
Visit new and existing key (80/20) accounts regularly to improve customer satisfaction and identify additional product sales and service opportunities.
Design and implement customer sales strategies that are efficient and effective to achieve business 80/20 objectives/goals.
Responsible directly to achieve in-depth penetration and familiarization with key accounts and prospects.
Responsible for developing, and accountable for, sales outlooks/forecasts that are consistent with business objectives/goals.
Manages sales expense budget within company guidelines and to meet the business objectives/goals.
Identify opportunities and recommend programs that effectively drive sales within the assigned sales region and market segments, and/or potentially throughout the business. Identify opportunities for new product innovation and application development.
Responsible for recommending and implementing pricing strategies for non-national accounts in order to optimize variable contribution margins and meet the business units 80/20 goals.
Responsible for development of immediate and long range customer sales objectives and forecasting sales for annual plan.
Responsible for reporting market conditions and competitive information.
Identifying problem areas, and development of sound imaginative sales strategies and tactics to address these areas.

B.S. in Business, Sales/Marketing preferred.
Minimum of three to five (3 - 5) years in industrial packaging field sales.
Experience with sales forecasting
Position requires 60-80% travel. Overnight travel will often be 2-4 nights per week.
Computer literacy, including proficient skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
