Our client in the Utilities Industry is seeking a Systems Administrator Associate to join their team.

Job Title: IT Systems Administrator Associate

Location: Hybrid Onsite - Corpus Christi, Texas

Pay Range: $25-30 per hour

What’s the Job?

1. Assists in the implementation of enhancements, updates, upgrades and patches to ensure equipment is preventively maintained, running properly and protected from computer viruses and other security threats.

2. Assists in keeping users informed of changes on a timely basis.

3. Assists in testing prior to going live into production.

4. Monitors and reports on processes, uptime, performance, utilization and capacity of technologies. Alerts senior staff of less than desirable results.

5. Executes and monitors equipment backups to ensure data and applications are safeguarded and can be restored to establish normal operation after an incident or disaster.

6. Troubleshoots simple support problems and provides or obtains their timely resolution. Escalates complex problems to more senior IT Infrastructure Engineers.

What’s Needed?

Detailed knowledge and experienced is desired in the following areas:

1. Windows Operating Systems

2. HP Server and Workstation Hardware

3. TCP/IP Networking

4. Strong skills in communication, issue resolution, organization, and facilitation are essential.

5. Willingness to provide after-hours support for systems as needed; participate in rotating on-call schedule - typically on-call for 1 week every 6 weeks.

Potential for occasional OT if needed/approved. Hybrid role (part-time onsite, part time work from home - usually about 3 days in office/week but may vary), so candidates must be local to Corpus Christi area. Potential for occasional local travel.
