Job Summary

The Element Technician role at Norman Filter Company is responsible for processing raw material and providing a completed product to the Welding Team for further operations. An Element Technician is familiar with various manufacturing techniques, both industry wide and specific to NFC. An Element Technician will become familiar with how their role fits within an AS9100 environment in order to provide outstanding product to all customers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties / Responsibilities

Operate equipment to perform the following processes

oCut material to size with foot shear

oPleat raw material

oResistance seam weld

oPart mark via processes required per drawing

Test filter elements, of different configurations, for functional checks

Clean various filter elements and machined components

oLoad / Unload automated equipment

oHand wash / rinse / dry, as applicable

Required Skills / Abilities

Good mechanical aptitude / ability to work with hands in manufacturing environment

Able to understand, or become trained to understand, engineered drawings / blueprints

Education and Experience

High school diploma, or equivalent, preferred

0 3 years manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Lift / manipulate up to 50lbs

Ability to stand for 8 hours
