Senior Software Engineer in Test

The Senior Software Engineer in Test in Boston, MA will contribute to the automated testing of QuickBase’s next-generation platform. The incumbent will deploy quality engineering and technical experience to solve challenging programming and design problems in an effort to make the complex world of data integration accessible to the company’s non-technical users. The incumbent’s specific responsibilities include: Provides insights and input to the quality strategy and vision; Champions for and advances quality objectives and goals, testing methodologies and approaches, and expectations across the team; Develops test strategies, plans, and E2E scenarios in service to testing team deliverables; Ability to lead and drive key nontechnical/ technical E2E testing needs to ensure a great customer experience; Drives continuous process improvements efforts in testing planning, processes, and automation in order to increase efficiency and the speed with which features can be delivered; Communicating quality risks and offering mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery of all committed project

work; Utilize detailed test scenarios as a foundation for building out various UI and/or API automated tests; Designing and implementing reusable automated tests to drive test automation

goals, support continuous integration and regression testing needs, and ensure superb quality; Acting in a technical leadership capacity to solve challenging programming and design

problems in the quality engineering space; Applying software quality best practices to design, influence, and drive the quality and testability of our products and services; Conducting early

project scoping and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify testability goals and automated testing needs; and Act as a leader within the team by advocating for quality testing

needs and supporting team objectives within a fast-moving agile environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or closely related field (or foreign equivalent). 48 months of post-baccalaureate software quality engineering experience, as a Software Quality Analyst, Software Engineer in Test, Quality Assurance Engineer or similar position. Demonstrated experience with the following: Designing and creating unit, functional, and integration white box tests using automation frameworks and harnesses such as TestNG and

Java; UI automated testing using tools such as WebDriverIO or Selenium for E2E automation

Testing web services/multi-tier architectures (REST); Object-oriented programming languages, design patterns, and principles (Java, C#, etc.); Docker, Jenkins, JSON, XML, and AWS.
